Our exercise classes are designed and led by experienced clinicians who are dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals in a friendly, approachable, and inclusive environment.

Find the Perfect Class for You

Our exercise classes are an integral part of our approach to promoting health and wellbeing. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and accessible space within our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre, ensuring that individuals of all backgrounds and abilities feel comfortable and supported throughout their fitness journey.

If you are independently mobile and are looking for a regular class to get some good quality exercise, our everyday fitness circuits could be for you! Be supported by our sports rehabilitator to build strength, balance and cardio in a range of exercises to suit all levels.

Classes take place:

  • Monday 11:00 – 12:00
  • Thursday 10:00 – 11:00
  • Thursday 11:00 – 12:00
  • Friday 10:30 – 11:30

Price:

  • £7 per session
  • Buy 5 sessions, get your 6th class free!

If you’re over the age of 45 and have chronic hip or knee pain that’s lasted longer than three months, our Lower Limb OA Class could be perfect for you!

Class Schedule:

  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Thursday: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Buy 5 sessions, get your 6th class free!

Our balance class is specifically designed to improve confidence, balance, and stability to help reduce your risk of falling. Be guided through gentle exercises designed to improve your balance and stability and get you feeling like you can move with confidence again.

Classes take place:

  • Friday 11:30am – 12:30pm.

  • Buy 5 sessions, get your 6th class free!

Our clinician-led mat Pilates are run by our highly experienced physiotherapists and sports rehabilitators. Come to our weekly group sessions or book 1-2-1. Suitable for people of all fitness levels and abilities, you will be guided through a series of exercises that are specifically designed to meet your needs.

Classes take place:

  • Thursday 12pm – 1pm

Price:

  • 6-week Pilates programme: £60
  • 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 Classes: £50 (can be booked any time)

‘Get active’ is an initiative at AECC University College, funded by Active Dorset’s Together Fund. These sessions include a 1:1 with our highly qualified sports rehabilitator followed by 3 sessions in our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre. Gain access to high quality health care advice and be supported to make positive changes to your lifestyle.

Classes take place:

  • Slots are available throughout the week for 1-2-1 and independent use via our open gym sessions

Price:

  • Free *eligibility criteria. Please speak to your GP or Healthcare Professional about a referral

Also should you want 1-2-1 support to supplement your exercise or deal with pain and injuries, our widely skilled team of rehabilitation experts are on hand to support you as and when you need them

Our Integrated Rehabilitation Centre contains the widest range of clinical and rehabilitation services, in Dorset and the surrounding area. From the versatile Keiser Functional Trainer and TRX suspension training system to an array of intuitive free weights, machines, and racks, this state-of-the-art equipment has been carefully selected to support a wide range of requirements enabling you to make the most of your rehabilitation journey.
